Wet plate collodion is an early photographic technique from the 1850s. It is a very interesting process that is gaining renewed interest among photographers. Additional information on the technique can be found on my friend, Francesco Mastalia's website:
This new series of photos is not meant to be an imitation of Wet Plate, but rather an inspiration for further exploration. There is a moody and introspective feel to many Wet Plate images. This is what I find so intriguing and mesmerizing.
